Week 3 Exercise 6: Just Plain Selfish
I love it! This week we were asked us to investigate Flickr mashups and 3rd party tools. One of the ones I explored was trip planner and in doing so, I have discovered my new best friend. I am hoping to travel to Europe next fall and am delighted to have this new research tool at my disposal.

Week 3 Exercise 7: Lolcat
Okay, this was hard to do. I wanted to create a lolcat but the online photo editing sites that we were given didn't given me the option that I was looking for. Of course there is definitely the possibility that I just didn't know know where to look for it. I did a google search and found fd's flickr toys. I hope that was the right thing to do.

Who are you looking at?
Alright, maybe I'm not feeling so grouchy after all. I've added (and edited) this photo all by myself and actually, I'm feeling pretty proud!

Week 3 Exercise 5: Who Says Two Heads Are Better Than One?
Does this mean that I now get to have two headaches instead one as I wrestle with techology? I hope I make it!

Week 2: It's Scary Out There
I've just finished reading information on online sharing and safety. If I didn't know enough to be cautious before, I certainly am now. The video connected with "Think Before You Post" was the most eye opening. Its message really hits home. At home, I am posting to a board on a cruising related website. After reflecting on what I've learned about about today, I don't think that I've made any miss steps while on that board. I know that I will be posting there with a more vigilant eye in the future.

Peeking Out
So I'm a little nervous here. It's time to peek out of my shell and that's the hardest thing about this whole process. I have learned something new though. I didn't realize that a blog can allow others to repond to whats been posted. I wonder if the way that this has been set up will allow postings to happen? I don't think that I've done anything special with the settings. I guess that I will have to play around with this a bit. The good news is that my office mate is awfully good with blogging. The better news is that she is quite patient, and that's a good thing. Boy do I hate typing!
